Low Overhead, Johnny Appleseed
Johnny Appleseed had every entrepreneur’s dream of little to no overhead costs. His seeds were free from the cider mills. He paid no rent or mortgage because he slept on the ground in the great outdoors. He had no tools, but a stick to poke holes to place the apple seeds. Anyone who has tried to grow something from seed knows it is hard work to prepare unbroken ground for seed. Without metal tools, which he is documented as not carrying with him, he was forced to improvise.
